Health/Education Committee

Health education is important to improve health status of communities.

Communities that are attentive to public health can even reduce inequality among their residents. Community health also helps to reduce health gaps caused by differences in race and ethnicity, location, social status, income and other factors that can affect health,” reports the CDC.
Health education raises students’ knowledge about physical, mental, emotional and social health. It motivates youth to improve and maintain their health, prevent diseases, and avoid unhealthy behaviors.

Roanoke Integrated Partners of Integrity Leadership Council focuses on ways to support and sustain emotional and physical well-being in healthy ways their unique communities.

Community Alliance Committee

Roanoke Integrated Partners of Integrity Leadership Council Community Alliance members advocate, promote and engages the community in support of the diverse needs of our community.
Become a member of the Community Alliance Committee to strengthen your work, support other committees, advocate for your community, and connect with other like-minded, solution oriented community members and community stake holders.

Community Beautification/Clean Up Committee

A visually appealing community increases property values, attracts businesses, and improves the neighborhood’s image. Beauty is one of the three most influential factors in community attachment, which means loyalty, to your particular town or city. Some research even shows that a nice-looking neighborhood promotes good behavior. To support this aspect of community development, Roanoke Integrated Partners of Integrity Leadership Council works to re-envision public spaces to make them more welcoming and promote people’s wellbeing.
Beautification is a key aspect of community development, and it can be an easy way to bring people together.

Neighborhood Safety Committee

Roanoke Integrated Partners of Integrity Leadership Council work to ongoingly establish and implement Neighborhood Safety Initiatives, that work together to engage residents in communities organizing and local problem-solving efforts; and invest in solutions that build capacity and provide access to resources and opportunities.
